Meet The Founder

Anindita, the heart and soul behind Iktaara, is a daughter of the soil—born and raised in Odisha, with roots in the culturally rich town of Puri. Her deep connection with her heritage has always been her compass, guiding her through every phase of life with pride and purpose.

An honors B.Tech graduate, Anindita spent nearly a decade leading business development for a reputed multinational company. But beyond corporate success, her soul longed to contribute to something closer to home—something meaningful.

While gracefully juggling roles as a daughter, wife, and mother, Anindita felt a calling she could no longer ignore. That calling gave birth to Iktaara—a heartfelt initiative to preserve and promote India’s glorious handmade handloom and handicraft legacy.

With a discerning eye for aesthetics and a mind trained in strategy, she brings her corporate finesse and impeccable taste to the loom. Anindita works closely with karigars (craftsmen) and bunkars (weavers), aligning traditional artistry with contemporary demands. She acts as the bridge between what modern customers desire and what our weavers are capable of creating, ensuring the survival and evolution of our timeless crafts.

For her, Iktaara is more than a brand. It’s a second home—built on trust, passion, and shared dreams. Every customer, artisan, and team member is a part of this ever-growing Iktaara family.

Through Iktaara, Anindita isn’t just selling handmade products. She’s sharing a piece of her journey, her heritage, and a vision—to make handloom versatile, wearable, and forever cherished.
